You don’t need to worry about it. When you download the add-in we assign a license to your Microsoft365 account and remind you when the subscription is about to expire!
Every time an update is available you will be asked to download it at PowerPoint start up.
The buttons are enabled only when they are valid for the current selection. For example buttons that change text only work when text is selected. This prevents potential issues from a user trying to use buttons that are not valid for the current selection.
You need it just to install it and to renew the license when expires.
